As per scientific reports, simply inhaling coffee aroma alters the activity of genes which enhances certain proteins in the brain that help fight sleep deprivation and increase alertness. Coffee is known to be a great means to help de-stress. The Finnish people are known to be the world’s highest coffee consumers (averaging approx. 450 liters per day). Helsinki is known to be the global Coffee Capital! Sauna is a traditional Finnish relaxation space.
Pneuma is inspired from Coffee and Sauna, which are not only a part of the Finnish culture also a source of well-being. The project titled ‘Pneuma’ addresses the problem of Wellbeing for TAIK students by offering a space for creativity and rejuvenation focusing on the Self. Pneuma is essentially the soul-spirit that constantly needs to be inspired and stimulated by the senses.
Initiating Aromatherapy and a space at TAIK to enhance any composed activity by individuals, whether it is reading, listening to music, ideating or engaging with philosophy.
